This month's program will be a lecture by Fran R. titled "The Mighty Oak." July's program will be presented by Keith B. Any member who would like to present a program, give a lecture, or has suggestions for programs, see Fran R.
July will be Pizza Night. The topic for the program will be "Other Things We Collect." Keith B. will talk on "Beer Mania."
Congratulations to Paul A. for winning the 2011 America the Beautiful silver proof set. July's raffle will be for an 1884-S Morgan dollar in VF condition. September's raffle will be for an 1851 Seated Liberty dime in VF condition. The long-term raffle is for club members only and any number of chances may be purchased. See John K. at the meeting to record your $1.00/chance donation.
The club's by-laws were reviewed at the June board meeting. No changed were recommended. Any member with a suggestion, please bring it up at the meeting on June 12th.
Club members are welcome to attend the monthly Board meeting. The next meeting will be Monday, July 1, 2013 at 7:30 PM at Tidewater Community College, Virginia Beach campus, Advanced Technology Center, room H-248. (Click here for directions. Also see the printed newsletter for details.)
Auction lots for the July 10, 2013 meeting must be received by Friday, June 28. (See the paper newsletter for instructions on how to submit auction lots.) Please give a full description of your lots, including date, grade, and minimum bid. ($1 or 5c or 1921 $ are not descriptions.)
