The next meeting will be Wednesday, March 10, 7:30 PM. Tom A. will lecture on "Early Colonial Coinage". Paul A. will present the April program on "Chinese Charms and Amulets". Annual Membership Dues Required in January. Adults are $12 and youths under 18 are $3. Members not required to pay are "Life Members" and new members who joined late in the year. mint mark first appear on a US Nickel? Coin Game this month: bring a US Half Dollar (circulating) 1801 - 2002. Be prepared to give a short history of the coin. Congratulations to Denny M. for winning the 1947-S quarter dollar, MS-65 (NGC). April's raffle will be for a 1938-D Buffalo nickel, MS-65. June's raffle will be for an ancient Roman silver coin. The long-term raffle is for club members and any number of chances may be purchased. See Jack L. at the meeting to record your $1.00/chance donation. Club members are welcome to attend the monthly Board meeting. The next meeting will be April 05 at 7:30 PM. (See paper newsletter for directions.) John C. is interested in obtaining transportation tokens from foreign cities. These include bus, trolley, ferry, and railway tokens. (See printed newsletter for details.) A Get Well card was sent to Ed E. after recent surgery. A 1/10 oz. Gold Eagle was mailed to Joseph A. of Norfolk and Rick H. of Bowie, MD for returning post cards at the last coin show.
