PROGRAMS FOR 2005 Any member who would like to present a program, give a lecture, or has suggestions for programs during the year, see Fran R. ANNUAL MEMBERSHIPS DUE. The dues for membership have not changed in several years; still a bargain at $12/adult and $3/youth under 18 yrs. LIFE MEMBERSHIP is $100. Members not required to pay are new members that joined late in the year (see printed newsletter for names), Life Members (12), and Honorary Life Members (5). Paul A. will be taking membership dues at the meeting. Make checks payable to Tidewater Coin Club, Inc. TIDEWATER COIN CLUB SPRING COIN SHOW, February 19 & 20 was a success. The official attendance was 665. All attending had a good time. Special thanks to the exhibitors and everyone who worked to make it a success. The winner of the 1/4 oz. Gold Eagle was M. Murray. The winner of the 1/10 oz. Young Numismatist Quiz: see printed newsletter for details. Congratulations to Ralph R. for winning the 1993 British Proof Set. April's raffle will be an ancient silver coin of the Roman Empire. June's raffle will be an UNC modern commemorative, 50th Anniversary of World War II Set, dollar and half dollar. The long-term raffle is for club members and any number of chances may be purchased. See Chris M. at the meeting to record your $1.00/chance donation. Club members are welcome to attend the monthly Board meeting. The next meeting will be Monday, April 4, at 7:30 PM. (See paper newsletter for details and directions.) Sheryl must receive information on Auction lots for the April 13, 2005 meeting by Friday, April 1. Bring a friend to the meeting. |
