This month's program will be a lecture by Paul A. on "Silver Three-Cent pieces." Any member who would like to present a program, give a lecture, or has suggestions for programs during the year, see Fran R.

RAFFLE TICKETS WILL BE HANDED OUT THIS MEETING.  RAFFLE TICKETS ARE THE WAY OUR CLUB OFFSETS THE COST OF OUR ANNUAL FALL COIN SHOW.  MEMBERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO HELP WITH THIS ONCE A YEAR FUND RAISING ENDEAVOR.  THE COST OF THE RAFFLE TICKETS IS $10/BOOK OF 11 TICKETS.   THE TICKETS ARE $1 EACH.  THE ELEVENTH TICKET IS YOURS FREE FOR THE $10 DONATION TO THE CLUB.  MANY MEMBERS CHOOSE TO PUT THEIR NAMES ON ALL THE TICKETS SO AS NOT TO ASK FOR DONATIONS FROM FRIENDS.  MAKE CHECKS PAYABLE TO: TIDEWATER COIN CLUB, INC.  SEE PAUL A. Coin Game: Bring a US Cent, 1800 - present. September's Coin Game will be: Bring your favorite coin and tell about it. June's winner was Betty M. Members must be prepared to give a short talk on their coin, furnishing information such as: designer, dates minted, or other interesting facts.

Drawing this month for the 1991-S Mount Rushmore Golden Anniversary Commemorative set; one dollar and half dollar; proof condition. October's raffle will be for an uncirculated 1992 Columbus Quincentenary set, dollar and half dollar. The long-term raffle is for club members and any number of chances may be purchased.  See Charles G. at the meeting to record your $1.00/chance donation.

Club members are welcome to attend the monthly Board meeting.   The next meeting will be Tuesday, September 6, at 7:30 PM.  (See paper newsletter for details and directions.)

Sympathy card sent to Chuck F. Chuck's wife Nancy passed on July 31.

Get Well card sent to Charles G. Charles had surgery August 4 and will be home for several weeks.

Sheryl must receive information on Auction lots for the September 14, 2005 meeting by Friday, September 2.
