COIN SHOW THIS MONTH, OCT 21-22, VIRGINIA BEACH CONVENTION CENTER. SEE YOU THERE!

This month's program will be a lecture titled "Scalawags", presented by Charles G. November is "Serendipity, part 2", presented by Denny M. December is our annual Holiday Party. We start the New Year with the annual "Silver Dollar Night". Any member who would like to present a program, give a lecture, or has suggestions for programs, see Fran R.

RETURN YOUR RAFFLE TICKETS AT THE SHOW OR THE MONTHLY MEETING. Return your raffle tickets at the meeting and receive more to sell! Paul will be taking money and will have additional booklets to issue. With our membership, a new location, and the excitement of our 50th anniversary, this Coin-A-Rama is going to be the best show ever!

50th anniversary medals are available for purchase. See Fran or Bob at a meeting for details. Silver medal #5 was won last month by Norm F.

Bob N., a four-time club President ('60s & '70s), past VNA President, and active member since the late '50s, attended our September meeting. Bob had 1964 club medals and gave them to new members until they were gone. For his outstanding support of TCC, the Board awarded Bob an Honorary Life Membership.

Charles G., ANA representative, presented the club an award for 50 years of membership in the ANA. TCC President Guy C. accepted for the club. The award will be displayed at club meetings for the rest of 2006 and future club shows.

Club T-shirts will be available at the meeting. The cost will be $10/shirt, white or grey, M, L, XL, or XXL.

New members in September: Kimball H. and Grace T.

Coin Game: Bring a US currency/note (any denomination) with the signature of W.A. Julian. Last month's winner was Christian B.

Our yearly nominations of Board members are this month. There are openings on the Board. Please consider serving.

Congratulations to Fran R. for winning the 1996 US Mint Silver Proof set. November's raffle will be for a 1923 Peace Dollar, IGC MS-62. January's raffle prize will be a Morgan Silver Dollar. The long-term raffle is for club members and any number of chances may be purchased.  See John K. at the meeting to record your $1.00/chance donation.

Club members are welcome to attend the monthly Board meeting.   The next meeting will be Monday, October 30, at 7:30 PM.  (See paper newsletter for details and directions.)

Sheryl must receive information on Auction lots for the November 08, 2006 meeting by Friday, October 27.
