This month's program will be a lecture by Fran R. on Kennedy related numismatic items. If you have any of these items, please bring them for the enjoyment of the club. December will be our Annual Holiday Party. January will start the new year with our Annual Silver Dollar Night and a lecture by John K. Any member who would like to present a program, give a lecture, or has suggestions for programs during the year, see Fran R. HOLIDAY PARTY NEXT MONTH!!!!! Sign-up sheets will be at the meeting. Please sign up early. The menu will be turkey & dressing, ham, mashed potatoes, green beans, rolls, butter, cranberry sauce, gravy, apple cobbler, water, coffee, and soda. MEMBERS FREE, each guest $8.00. If you pay at the meeting, please pay by check made out to: Tidewater Coin Club, Inc. Paul A. will take checks. Coin Game: Bring a world coin with a cow or "cow-like" animal. Members must be prepared to give a short talk on their coin, furnishing information such as: designer, dates minted, or other interesting facts to educate members. Young Numismatist Quiz: (see the YN Corner page) Congratulations to Bill H. for winning the proof 1992 Columbus Quincentenary set. December's raffle will be a 1975 Barbados $100 BU gold coin. February will feature the British 200th Anniversary of Nelson at Trafalgar 2-coin set. The long-term raffle is for club members and any number of chances may be purchased. See John K. at the meeting to record your $1.00/chance donation. Club members are welcome to attend the monthly Board meeting. The next meeting will be Monday, December 05, at 7:30 PM. (See paper newsletter for details and directions.) Board member elections this month; installation of Board members and Officers at the Annual Holiday Party in December. (See paper newsletter for a list of those nominated.) Nominations will be accepted from the floor. The Gold winners at the coin show were: B. Jones (1/10 oz. and 1 oz.), E. Ferrari (1/4 oz.), and D. Harmon (1/10 oz. for postcard/email return.) Richmond Coin Club Show: December 2nd - 4th. Sympathy Card sent to the family of Melissa B. (HLM). Melissa passed a couple of months ago. Melissa always supported our club through her continued membership and yearly raffle donations. She had not attended a meeting in several years, but would remember fondly of bringing her son to meetings in the fifties. Born on April 15, 1912, Paul once said to her, "You were born the day the Titanic sank!" and her response was, "No! The Titanic sank the day I was born!" Congratulations TCC, membership is 159. A record this century! Sheryl must receive information on Auction lots for the January 11, 2006 meeting by Friday, December 30. Bring a friend to the meeting. |
